A Dickinson,North Dakota couple waived their right to a trial Tuesday afternoon on initial charges of possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver, a Class A felony.
Jason Warwick, 29, and Amanda Warwick, 27, were arrested on June 22.
Amanda Warwick accepted a plea agreement to be charged with possession of methamphetamine, a Class C felony. She received three years of supervised probation, three years deferred imposition and she must pay $325 in court fees.
Jason Warwick entered a plea of guilty pursuant to a plea agreement. The court has postponed sentencing pending receipt of a pre-sentence investigation report.
The couple had submitted a plea of not guilty at their bond hearing on June 25. Both were released on $10,000 bail, Amanda on June 25 and Jason on June 29.
Evidence was collected from a search of the Warwick,North Dakota’s residence at 162 Third Ave. S.E. and their two vehicles. The search produced $9,270 in American currency.
An evidence and inventory receipt states four small bags containing white crystals that tested positive for meth were found in the residence, along with a variety of drug paraphernalia.
In a report submitted by the North Dakota State Crime Lab director on July 23, it was confirmed the white crystals were methamphetamine, in combination with other substances that came to a weight of more than 61 grams.
Agencies involved in the investigation included the South Sakakawea,North Dakota Narcotics Task Force, North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigations, Dickinson,North Dakota Police Department and Stark County,North Dakota Sheriff’s Department.
